Unit 4 lab

for a source of food and have been hunted for their fur and even been known as house pets. Rabbits can be a number of thing but i hope not to see them in our market places.

d. This bird so far has been left alone and unharmed by humans. Birde feeders left out have helped them but we have harmed their environment by cutting out where they live so we can build houses for ourselves.

d. Squirrels are very popular, you see them when you are camping and even when you are just looking in your front yard. They can eat small bugs and even the food that we put out for them. Over time they have been hunted more and more for there beautiful skin that they have.

d. The contents of their stomach is were we benifit from these birds. They eat pest, insects, snakes, mice, and eventhe scorpion. That makes me feel a lot better except that i have never seen one of these in person before. They do a great job of protecting us from harmful pest.

d. This bird is known for eatting bugs and sometimes we even get to watch them eat in a park but other than that we dont get to see this bird that often.

d. I personally hate snakes and have never been really close to one but these snakes are increadible. They keep away all those other animals that I dislike as well. Its like having our own pest control. They keep away all the eat mice, fight off other snakes and even eat rattlesnake, that makes me feel so much better.

d. Cats are looked at as a donestic house animal. In the earlier days they were said to have been "mans best friend." The egyptions would be buried with their cats as if they were royalty themselves. They have come along way from those days. Cats are one of the most popular house pet these days.

d. Some birds can be house pets, or even tammed but theres one bird that hasnt been, at least not yet. That bird is called the dove. They eat insects, which is great, we try to watch them but I have never seen one just sit and eat or even fly in front of me. They are so beautiful birds and the relationship humans have with them is great because they can continue to look great and be unharmed.

d. Dogs today are considered to be mans best friend. I know that i have seen this before. My husband takes our dog everywhere. The store, hunting, and camping its almost as if he treats the dog like a child. He loves the way a dog can make him feel its like a child they listen to you and have unconditional love for you. Dogs are just a great house pet, once their trainned. They have come a long way, back in the day they were navigators for hunters and then they were friends to take on long boat trips for months and now they are groomed house animals that are there to love and protect.

d. Tarantulas have to some degree been domesticated. There are a lot of them that havent though, and run the desert free and wild. The tarantula is a spider and when you see one its a rare occasion, and some think they are just amazing. They have amazing surviving techniques. rry friends. Some of us even keep them as pets. Many people have been put in the hospital and very ill from the bite of a tarantula and even many cases of death.

d. . These cows are part of the food chain. Therefore, I deem this relationship a predation one. This cow is so important to our culture these days. It is a source of food to us and we need them greatly. We use them for their milk then we kill them for their meat, this could be damaging to our world if not handled correctly.

d. Chickens are used in so many ways, one that comes to mind are eggs. Eggs are used almost daily, we use them to cook eggs and in everday cooking. Also when thanksgiving comes around the chicken does too, thats what 90% of americans put on the table at holiday time.

d. Through history the horse has been used in a number of ways. From being rides into war, to pulling on the farm and to today being show horses. Horses are a great way to get things done on a farm. They can do so much and without polluting the Earth. They are cheaper than a machine and never really need fixing. These are great domesticated animals.

d. This plant we can see being in use everyday when we wake up and put on our clothing. This is a greatly used plant, and not in just America, all over the world.

d. This is just the same as the cotton plant, we eat these, for some everyday. They are great for our health and great for the Earth as well.
16) a. Spinacia oleracea

d. This is a greatly wide spread grown plant, and very healthy as well. This plant has been increasingly grown more and mmore every year which is great for the plants existance.
17) a. Lactobacillus acidophilus

d. Acidophilus, found in the human body is known to be a probiotic for humans. This means that, if it is administered in adequate amounts, it is beneficial to the host. We have benefited acidophilus in that we have given them a place to live and have encouraged their growth and existence over time.

d. This is a healthy plant and because of that with the carrot and spinach we grow more of it and use it more. This plant taste so good and is great for the body and Earth.

d. Over the years this plant has been seen more and more. People have really caught on to the healthy side of things and they love the taste of the plum tree. This is wide spread throught store of american and the World.
20) a. Ceratonia siliqua
b. carob
c. mutualism
d. This tree can be used as a chocolate substatute and that is just amazing to me that we can get our chocolate from a tree. This is a very common tree today and is rapidly growing more so.
